Conceived as three forms, stepping up the hill, this sustainable home design frames spectacular views to the north and west, over Airlie Beach.
Each level lifts and opens to an asymmetrical high point enabling light to penetrate deep inside, whilst maintaining good levels of shade from the adjacent trees. The distorted skillion form also assists natural ventilation naturally moving hot air through form and orientation. A large plunge pool sits between the upper two levels and overlooks the large veranda down to Pioneer Bay and beyond.
Primarily created as a family home, it has been carefully designed to be adaptable and both environmentally sustainable and financially sustainable, as it offers options such as dual living, renting out either part of the space independently, or letting the home as a whole.
