Sustainable Contemporary New Build Home in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Responding to the brief, the linear design complemented the parameters of the site, slope and aspect.
Facing north and overlooking private rainforest and bush land, this semi off-grid sustainable three-bedroom house benefits from high windows over the living space, and a skillion roof, to catch rainwater and allow natural light and ventilation into the rooms.
The contemporary linear layout provides living room, kitchen and entertaining areas at one end, the bedrooms in the middle, and garage and workshop/art space at the opposite end. All bedrooms face north, and by designing the secondary rooms on the south side, it provides privacy from neighbours, whilst creating a tranquil sanctuary in the living areas.
Exploiting the beautiful bushland setting, and meeting the client’s brief, the sustainable energy positive home is a natural haven, enabling them to live the life they dreamed of.
