In response to the housing crisis, this scheme comprises three share homes designed as a micro community, which enables an established sawmill business to offer adaptable rental opportunities to staff, their families and the local community.
The design provides tenants with generous bedroom/living spaces, private bathroom and self-contained outdoor space. Each house offers a share kitchen with large pantry, dining and additional living spaces both inside and out. The dwellings will be constructed using timber from the sawmill, integrate energy positive design which reduces energy costs for the tenants, and provides sustainable accommodation in keeping with the site and location.
