Habitance has provided a heritage precinct master plan after reviewing existing facilities and identifying upgrades and improvements to the hall, originally built in 1927. The new designs respect the original builders’ methods and will maintain and enhance the historic character of Landsborough.
Initially solving accessibility and amenity issues, working together with the trustees and community groups, identified several collective and diverse visions for future use.
Considering the collective goals and financial constraints of a community funded building, the masterplan enables the hall to upgrade in stages over time. The result is an adaptable, multifunctional, multi-use, arts centre that will become the anchor arts facility of the rural township of Landsborough.
