Energy Positive
Designed to use natural resources to generate more energy than it needs, minimises bills and ongoing costs.

Adaptable
Sustainable materials are used to build the house and is partially constructed off site, reducing construction time. Solar Power, rain water storage in walls, high levels of insulation and double glazed windows are included to reduce its carbon footprint. The house design has a smaller footprint, allowing for a garden, a mature tree and a 5m2 raised vegetable garden bed which is easily accessible from the house and can feed a family of four for a year.
From Concept To Build
The LiteHouse is still in concept stage and is being designed to be a sustainable, adaptable and energy positive alternative to the current project homes for conscientious consumers. The aim is to make the plans accessible to all through this website. If you are interested in building a LiteHouse in 2022, then please contact us via email, phone or complete the form below and we will contact you with updates when available.
Off Grid Expo Video
The Habitance Litehouse concept was launched at the Queensland Off Grid Expo in September 2021. The LiteHouse can be as Off Grid as the site will allow adapting to small blocks in urban developments, medium subdivisions and rural acreage. We were interviewed by Dan Vanderhoek from Eco Convos with Dan and shared our cardboard model with him. Habitance Director Alex Hoffmann explains the concept 2.05 minutes into this video.
