Our Net Positive House has been designed using Energy Positive Architecture principles which has resulted in a NatHERS rating of 8.6/10, and Whole of Home rating of 112/100.
It can be built either fully off-grid, or partially off-grid in urban areas (where services are already supplied to site) and built on sites from 450m2 upwards.
The LiteHouse design consists of three pods. The main pod providing master suite, Multi Purpose Room (MPR)/4th bedroom, ensuite, kitchen, dining and living areas. The bedroom pod has two further bedrooms, and shared bathroom and the third pod houses a carport, adaptable space for shed/garage/work/gym/storage plus separate laundry and solar battery storage for the house, and Electric Vehicles (EV’s).
Made from Australian renewable and recycled materials, the smart design reduces Co2 emissions both during its construction, and continues for the life of the house. Using natural resources it generates more energy than it needs, minimising bills and ongoing costs. It meets the three pillars of Sustainability; Environment, Economic and Social, offering benefits to users, the local community and our planet.
Designed to be built from Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), and partially fabricated off site, reduces the number of materials needed, trades required, construction time, and impact on the earth. The house has high levels of insulation, double glazed windows, natural ventilation and biophillic benefits. A smaller footprint, allows for a garden, a mature tree and a 5m2 raised vegetable garden, which are all accommodated on blocks from a minimum of 450sqm.
Licences to build your own LiteHouse will be available from October 2024.
